Bringing Motorola products to an ecommerce platform
In 2015, Motorola Argentina partnered with Falabella Argentina to launch an exclusive ecommerce platform for Motorola products. Motorola’s existing website was non-transactional, so the technological infrastructure and expertise from Falabella were leveraged to create a complete shopping experience. The project involved designing a promotional home page, product listing and product detail page templates, and integrating Adobe Analytics for tracking key metrics. Motorola’s branding was incorporated, and a seamless checkout experience was created, offering users multiple benefits like discounts, extended warranties, and various payment options.
Creating an efficient ecommerce solution on a tight timeline
Motorola Argentina required a fast and efficient solution to sell its products online, as its current website wasn’t transactional. The main challenge was to build a functional and visually appealing ecommerce platform using Falabella Argentina’s platform within a tight three-month timeframe. This included integrating promotional content, specialized filters for Motorola products, multimedia product descriptions, a product comparison tool, and detailed metrics tracking via Adobe Analytics. Additionally, the checkout experience had to be smooth, offering users added benefits such as discounts, extended warranties, returns, and multiple payment options.
Key problems included:

- Integrating promotional content and specialized filters for Motorola products.

Designing a custom experience for Motorola on the Falabella platform
To address these challenges, the following solutions were implemented:
- Home with Promotional Content: A promotional landing page was designed with easy access to Motorola’s product families and categories.
- Product Listing Page (PLP): A product listing page template was developed with custom filters for Motorola’s products, allowing users to easily find what they were looking for.
- Product Detail Page (PDP): Product detail pages were designed with multimedia descriptions, detailed technical specs, and a product comparison tool to help users make informed decisions.
- Motorola Branding Adaptation: Falabella’s platform was adapted to reflect Motorola’s visual identity and branding, ensuring a consistent brand experience.
- Adobe Analytics Integration: Adobe Analytics was integrated to track user behavior and site performance, providing data-driven insights.
- Checkout Experience Adaptation: Based on Falabella’s checkout system, the user experience was tailored to Motorola’s needs, offering features like discounts, extended warranties, and easy returns.
- User Benefits and Payment Options: Multiple benefits such as discounts, extended warranties, and various payment options were included to enhance the shopping experience.
Successful implementation and increased sales for Motorola Argentina
The project led to a significant increase in Motorola product sales through the new ecommerce platform.
